Until she started a commercial construction company, Marjorie Perry had no idea what she wanted to be when she grew up. She had tried a few other things based solely on opportunities that materialized in front of her. Construction was no different. Marjie started MZM construction upon seeing the opportunity created by affirmative action programs on public projects. With the door open, she still had to figure out how to run a profitable construction company, which took 17 years and makes for a great podcast.
